The governorship candidate of All Progressive Party,APGA, Chief Emma Nwankpa has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC regarding the improvement in the conduct of the Governorship and State House of Assembly election today, noting that this is a clear departure from the Presidential and National Assembly election.
Speaking to reporters after voting in his Iwollo ward,Ezeagu this morning the Governorship candidate said that the election was peaceful and orderly in his ward and other parts of Ezeagu.
Chief Nwankpa however said that voter apathy seems to have been the case in some areas due to their experience during the last presidential election in the country.
Our reporters who covered the election in other parts of the state report that the election was peaceful and no laspses was evident this time as INEC seems to have learnt from their challenges in the previous election.
In an interview with the traditional ruler of Amankpunator HRH.Engr.Timothy Gbugu gave pass mark to INEC for their effort to ensure they improve on the noticeable lapses during the last presidential election.
