Distributes palliatives to the vulnerable.
It was unbelievable and worthy of commendation as Hon. Francis Odiegene Aniede, councillor representing Akpugo ward 2 distributed palliatives to his people.
The relief materials included; 25 kg bags of rice, cartoons of indomine and tubers of yam.
Presenting the food items yesterday at his ward, Hon. Odiegene said that the relief items were his little support to the local government chairman, Hon. Nwabueze Nnamani and other good spirited individuals in the council area who had contributed to the sufferings of the masses.
Odiegene commended the efforts of the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for the proactive measures put in place to contain the spread of the dreaded disease.
The lawmaker also applauded the committement of the council chairman, Chief Nwabueze Nnamani whom he said had been on his toes since the outbreak of the pandemic to curb the spread of the virus in the local government and for his efforts so far in support to the state government on the war against coronavirus.
The popular blind musicians, Umu Obieze was live to entertain the people while singing praises of Enugu State government, Nkanu West LG and the host, Hon. Odiegene for his benovelance.
The musicians equally got a fair share of the palliatives joyous as villagers were seen demonstrating different dance steps to their melodious tunes.
The Supervisor for Health, Nkanu West LG, Mrs. Roseline Nnaji, some councillors and dignities were present at the occasion.
