Constituents of Enugu North Local Government Area today took their turn in the ongoing financial palliative from their representative in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Ofor Chukwuegbo.
The constituents,150 indigent persons recieved #5000 each, this is in addition to another 150 persons that equally recieved same amount yesterday from their sister local government, Enugu South Local Government Area.
With this latest beneficiaries, over 1500 have been so far given #5,000 each to help them cushion the effects of lockdown order.
Speaking shortly after disbursing the money at his Constituency Office, Ogui road, Enugu, Hon. Chukwuegbo represented by his legislative aide, Chief Chiene I. Chine said that he decided to do another round of financial palliative to cover those, especially the poorest of the poor who where left out in the first phase.
The lawmaker revealed that the first phase of the exercise covered 1000 person who recieved #5,000 each with another 250 traders at Otu market, Amechi covered in the second phase.
The lawmaker promised to churn out more life changing programs to enable his constituents progress in the post Covid era.
Chukwuegbo reminded them of presence of coronavirus pandemic in across the globe while appealing to them to remain safe and guard against contracting the highly infectious disease.
