COVID 19: Chukwuegbo’s Financial Palliative Still Ongoing.

Over 300 Constituents Already benefitted.

Over 300 Constituents have benefitted from Rt. Hon. Ofor Chukwuegbo’s financial palliative to ameriorate the sufferings occasioned by coronavirus pandemic.

This is the third batch that is benefitting from the five million naira (N5,000,000.00) fund set out to cover 1000 persons in the program that cut across the two local governments in the constituency.

The exercise which was kick started last week Friday, will continue this week until the 1000 beneficiaries are covered.

According to the lawmaker represented by his DG, a former Caretaker Chairman, Enugu South LG, Chief Chiene I. Chiene emphasized that the exercise would continue in batches so as not to breach stipulated guidelines by relevant health authorities while appealing for the receipeients to be patient with the snail speed disbursement.

Hon. Chukwuegbo reminded them that as soon as the financial palliative was completed, he would start off with sharing of consumable palliatives.

Chukwuegbo expressed displeasure that the coronavirus case is on the increase but thanked God that two of Enugu State positve cases have tested negative and urged constitutents to be careful in all their public dealings.

Chukwuegbo commended governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for prompt responses to coronavirus challenges adding that proactive measures put in place in the state is worth commendation.

In a vote of thanks, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Enugu South LG, Hon. Chief Freedom Nnam described Chukwuegbo as a man of the people, a philanthropist whose magnanimity is renowned pointing out that the lawmaker is “a core party man”

Beneficiaries from Enugu South LG, Mrs. Ngozi Nwachukwu and Mrs. Angela Ozobodo demonstrated various dance steps as they received their own financial palliatives praying for good health, upliftment in political office and God’s protection for the lawmaker.

The organizers ensured that the beneficiaries washed their hands, sanitized and wore facemask before going into the office for payment.

Present to monitor today’s disbursement were; Enugu North LG, PDP Chairman, Hon. Okey Ezieke, Hon. Uche Edeh, former Chairman, Enugu South LG, Hon. Chuks Nnam Egbo, Hon. Chiedozie Chukwuegbo, Hon. Uche Okoh, Bob Okite amongst others.
