More are more Enugu North and South constituents are still receiving from the five million naira funds (N5,000,000.00) earmarked to cover 1000 constituents as palliative package from Hon Ofor Chukwuegbo.
The member representing Enugu North/ Enugu South Federal Constituency continued to give out cash gifts of five thousand naira (5,000) each, to his constituents to assist them in this hard times occasioned by the coronavirus Pandemic.
Last Friday, the first batch of 70 persons took their turns to receive the cash fund at his Federal Constituency office located at No 450 Ogui Road, Enugu.
Presenting the cash gift to the beneficiaries, Rt. Hon. Ofor Chukwuegbo represented by his DG, Chief Chiene I. Chiene reiterated his commitment to adhere strictly to the recommended hygiene protocols, adding that it is better to take the exercise in batches than to breach the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) standard protocol.
The lawmaker reminded the beneficiaries to continue to be law abiding by keeping to the 6:00am – 8:00pm federal government directives on curfew, while advising them to continue to observe good hygiene especially this period of coronavirus pandemic.
One of the beneficiaries from Enugu North LG, Anieke Paulinus said that he is so excited to have received the monetary gift stating that he was surprised to receive a phone call requesting him to come forward for the money.
Mr. Anieke thanked Hon. Ofor Chukwuegbo praying for God’s continued blessings, guidance and protection.
The Lawmaker stated that the exercise continues till 1000 persons are covered, saying, “after the cash gift, we would start sharing consumables in the second phase.
