Makes Case For Enugu East Zone.
Barely few weeks of making his views on zoning known to the public, Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze, member representing Ezeagu state constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly has given teeth to his earlier posture on rotation of power amongst the three zones in the state.
The outspoken lawmaker had said that he would not support any guber candidate that wants to thwart the existing rotation of power amongst the three zones in the state.
A statement many political analyst believed was detrimental to Senator Ike Ekweremadu, mentor to Hon. Obieze who is said to be nursing guber ambition.
While in some quarters Hon.Obieze is seen as a hero, brave young man who wish to go far in politics and therefore should stand on the truth.
The House Committee Chairman on Works, Housing and Urban Development today emphasized on his earlier position arguing that without proper arrangement on zoning and power rotation in the state another person of Nsukka extraction would emerge the next governor.
“Without a fair zoning and equitable power rotation in Enugu State. Another person from Enugu North Senatorial zone (Nsukka) can become the next governor of Enugu State”
The lawmaker said that this could be possible because” they have the political strength”
Hon. Obieze pleaded that Enugu East zone should be allowed to take their turn.
Two days ago, Hon Obieze had posted on his Facebook page a touching prayer invariably referring to his stand on zoning argument in the state beginning with Wale Adenuga popular quotation.
“We are nothing but pencil in the hands of the creator”
Lord, make me a vessel of thy light. Suppress every darkness in me & Shine through me, so that I may dispel the darkness in everything I touch, & be Your Light in everywhere I enter.
