Assures Water Tight Security Within The Council Area.
The Chairman, Enugu North local government, Hon. Emeka Onunze has charged security operatives especially the Neighborhood Watch group and Forest Guard to rise to security challenge within their localities.
Onunze stated this during an interactive session with the representives of the security bodies in the council area.
The Chief security Officer of the local government advised them to be proactive in fighting crime pointing out that security and well being of the people are the cardinal focus of his administration.
“It is our duty as a government to guarantee the safety of lives and properties of our people and we are doing just that”
Onunze advised the leaders of Neighborhood Watch group and Forest Guard to exercise caution in carrying out the duties and warned them to operate within the armbit of law.
The council chairman commended the state governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on his efforts to secure the state and for the peace in the state.
In their separate speeches, the Divisional Police Officers of Ogui and Central Police Station, advised the Neighborhood Watch group and Forest Guard no to take laws in their hands, ensure cooperation with the police and take any person arrested to the police for proper investigation and follow up.
