Enugu South LG residence hailed Hon. Chief Freedom Nnam as he marched with hundreds of youths on peaceful March to quell violent protest by hoodlums.
Chief Nnam while educating the youths on the need to stop violent protest and vandalising public and private within the council area.
Chief Nnam who converged with the youth at Garriki area marched through Ebony Paint road, Amechi road and up Agbani road singing peace song, “Udo Ka Mma” to the admiration of all.
Chief Nnam who was accompanied by the Enugu South LG chairman and member Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Onyiye Ugwu among other prominent personalities from the council area.
Chief stopped at UBA, First Bank PLC and Access Bank all in Agbani road, addressing the youths, Chief Nnam expressed sadness on the wanton destruction of banks and other government and private properties pointing out that the youths must desist from and stop henceforth such barbaric act.
Chief Nnam sued for peace while appealing to the youths to toe the path of peace adding that parents should restrain their children from engaging the police.
Chief Nnam worked with the youths in clearing of burnt tyres and debris which hitherto were used to block the roads.
Chief Nnam commended governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of his state wide broadcast appealing to the youth to embrace peace and for the curfew put in place to restore normalcy in the state.
